MediCare Connect
An online medical portal enabling patients to schedule consultations, doctors to manage slots and prescriptions, and admins to verify credentials.
◆Project Summary
Problem Statement: Traditional hospital bookings involve long wait times, manual scheduling conflicts, and insecure payment options.
My Key Contribution: Coordinated the complete full-stack development, integrated Stripe for secure transaction processing, and implemented dashboard controls for prescriptions and medical reports.

- Advanced doctor search by specialty/name and sorting by fees or experience
- Seamless Stripe payment processing for instant appointment confirmation
- Custom prescription builder and management panel for doctors
- Patient appointment history log, feedback reviews, and cancellation flows
- Admin panel with doctor verification and Recharts-based revenue/booking charts
Challenges Faced
Securing role boundaries (Patient, Doctor, Admin) during appointment scheduling and preventing booking slot overlaps was critical. This was resolved by writing a custom Express validation middleware that checks slot availability in MongoDB before executing Stripe transaction Intents.
Future Improvements & Plans
Intend to integrate web-based video consultations using WebRTC and add automated prescription email reminders.
